At Sierra House Los Angeles, we pride ourselves on our world-class sober living homes and programs. Our structured programming allows our clients to experience flexibility and accountability when seeking recovery from substance use and mental health conditions.
Residents share a five bedroom house on a quiet street with a house manager on shift. The large kitchen, living spaces, exercise room and pool area allow for group gatherings and visits from family members. All residents share in the routine chores of maintaining a clean and ordered environment.
Our staff includes a house manager in addition to evening and weekend team members. All staff are in recovery and have significant time in sobriety achieved through 12 step work. Staff members take residents to meetings, cook together, eat together and hang out.
12 step meetings are crucial measures of support at Sierra House. Staff members will invite residents to attend and provide transportation on a regular basis. New residents live in close connection with staff / residents who have more sober time. Residents are tested for drugs and alcohol multiple times a week.
Sierra House is just a few minutes from the beach and hiking trails connecting Santa Monica through Playa del Rey and the South Bay. Major freeways are close, allowing access to all parts of Los Angeles.
Healthy food is provided and residents can use the kitchen anytime. Grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Vons are all nearby. Downtown Culver City is also nearby with a variety of coffee shops.
